It has been crazy here as I am sure it is for all of you. It snowed here a week ago and is now 80. But there is still a real danger of frost they are calling for a low of 37 tonight but down to 28 this weekend. So obviously nothing but spinach lettuce broccoli are out. I did plant the sugar snap peas last weekend (10 days ago) and they are just starting to peak out. Everything else is still inside- I am hoping to move stuff out after Memorial day if the weather is looking good. My oldest son Steven, helped me put the carrots and the potatoes in this past weekend. He is very excited about the red samuri carrots. Carrots are his favorite and we have not done a colored one before. I am just glad that at 11 years old he wants to be out there with me.
I included a couple photos- Everything looks good. The squash are really coming along and blooming inside. Although the last couple of days I have set them outside as long as the wind is not blowing. The cosmo flower is blooming inside. They are a little spindly but still the first to bloom. Lilacs should bloom in another week or two and a few tulips are blooming around town. This is a picture of the new raised beds my husband put in for me as well as a new deer/elk fence. I don’t think they can get in now. (I hope!)
