O Me of Little Faith

nancy Never underestimate solar power. It fuels morning glory vines in their climb toward the sky. I scoffed at Doug back in June, when he first erected a 12-foot pole in the center of one of the cylinder beds at the original Organic Gardening test garden for the morning glory vines to climb. But a few weeks later, despite the predations of hungry white-tailed deer, the vines have reached about 10 feet and show no signs of stopping. No flowers in sight yet, but if this garden has taught me anything, it’s that I should never say never. In June, I asked the vine to “Grow, baby, grow.” Now I’m asking it to “bloom, baby, bloom.”
